POENB 2010 BEACH RULES
Violation of these rules can result in membership revocation and/or retention of Compliance Fee
The Beach hours are 8:30 AM to Dusk Memorial Day to Labor Day.
The Beach will be locked after Dusk.
1) Only paid members in good standing are entitled to use the beaches/property and amenities. This includes placement of a Dinghy on the rack. All Dinghies must have current stickers, no Dinghy may occupy more than one space on the Dinghy rack, unauthorized Dinghy/watercraft will be removed. Watercraft that can be stored on POENB property include small rowboats, kayaks, canoes, inflatables and sailboats. Trailers and motored crafts or crafts over 16 feet in length are NOT PERMITTED. Dinghy/Kayak Sticker fee: $25 each additional. At your own risk.
2) Stored watercraft must be the property of a current paid member and must always display a current numbered sticker near the bow on the outside of the hull. Craft stored near Worcester Court must be kept on the racks, at Price’s Bend catamarans are to be stored beyond the play area and may be kept on a dolly. Any craft that does not meet the guidelines is subject to removal. Stickers can be obtained from the membership committee chairperson or by contacting the president.
3) Please be aware swimming is prohibited. No lifeguards or CPR certified staff are stationed at either Price’s Bend or Valley Grove.
4) Boats moored near either beach should be approximately 200 feet from the high-watermark. Boats entering or leaving the mooring area should not exceed 5 m.p.h.
5) Fishing, clamming or digging for bait is NOT PERMITTED in the roped area during season (Memorial Day to Labor Day).
6) Cars may park only in the designated areas at Price’s Bend.
7) Residents who are not members may NOT use the Beach/Property even if they are accompanied by a paid member.
8) Paid members may inquire as to someone's membership status.
10) NO COMMERCIAL activities permitted on Association Beaches/Property including any Non-POENB Fundraising.
11) No animals allowed on POENB Beaches/Properties leashed or unleashed.
12) NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES allowed on POENB Beaches/Properties without Board approval.
13) Members in Good Standing may use the beach for private parties, except on Holiday Weekends. Reservation of a party does not imply exclusive use. To host a private party a Member in Good Standing must go to www.eatonsneck.org and click on Beach Rules and Private Party Tabs and follow instructions. All reservations must receive an e-mail confirmation. Private Parties at Price’s Bend are limited to the area in and around the tables, to the right of the entrance only and may not extend into or past the area near the playground or be set up in the parking area or near the Dinghy racks.
Private Party Reservation Request with all appropriate documents and fees must be received no less than 2 weeks prior to party date.
15) Private Party non-refundable Maintenance Fees: (NO GRATIS RAIN DATES - if you book a rain date you incur the non-refundable party fee)
$25 fee for Parties with less than 25 people; 26 to 50 people...$50; 51 to 100 people...$100; over 101people...$200.
16) Ending Times for Private Parties are:
Mon-Thurs—the music will cease by 9:00PM and the party will end by 10:00 PM
Fri & Sat—the music will cease by 10:00PM and the party will end by 11:00PM
Sun music will cease by 7:00pm party will end by 9:00pm.
17) Bonfires are Strictly Prohibited. The Board may approve of Bonfires for POENB events, Scouts Events or FD Events ONLY.
18) All music should be kept at a reasonable level and be aimed toward the water to minimize disturbance to neighbors.
19) POENB is not responsible for lost, damaged stolen property.
20)Any questions regarding the rules and regulations are to be directed to the Beach committee Chair - or the President.
