Dear Eaton’s Neck Neighbors:

The threat of Hurricane Joaquin is a reminder of how dependent all of us are on Asharoken Avenue. The residents of Eaton’s Neck will substantially benefit from the protection of Asharoken Avenue via the Asharoken Storm Damage Reduction Project. But in order to get the project done the Village of Asharoken needs your help. Please go to Change.org, search Asharoken and sign the online petition. Everyone in your household should join in.

Our elected officials must see that this project matters to you and that they have to find a compromise plan to see the project through to completion. Without their help to find an alternative to public access on the beach, such as the public benefit of protecting the road, it is unlikely that the project will be completed. In the end we are all neighbors who get to call one of the most beautiful places on Long Island home. Only together can we achieve the goal of protecting Asharoken Avenue.

Regards:

Mayor Greg Letica
