Planning and Zoning – Joni Altner, Chris Ballow and Dennis DeAngelis met with Frank Petrone, Stu Bessan and Harry Acker of the Town of Huntington. The meeting was to discuss a plan for replenishing the beach with the sand dredged by the Coast Guard Station. It was agreed that the sand will be alternated every other year with the North Creek Association. Pricilla Ebert received several proposals for gates at Prices Bend ranging from $2800 to $5000. The Board will review all proposals and discuss them with the membership during the next meeting. A member suggested that we should also consider removing the perimeter fencing as it serves no purpose and is aesthetically unpleasing. Throughout the summer, there have been problems with young people gathering at Prices Bend. Several times there were gatherings of 40-50 kids. A member suggested that motion lights be installed to deter them. The board will explore several options. Thank you to all the members who have been diligent in keeping watch over the beach at Prices Bend and asking unruly teens to leave the beach at night. A member recommended that we consider a “Community Watch”.

This involves a trip to the Osprey & Pellegrino winery to raise funds for the planting at Valley Grove. The date for this event is October 4th. Unfinished Business – A member suggested that we remove the Merry Go Round at Price Bend because it is in disrepair and is creating a dangerous and hazardous situation.
